1. Our commitment

People experience the web in different ways. Some visitors use keyboards, screen readers, magnification, voice control, captions or reduced-motion settings.

Others may need simpler language, additional time, clearer structure or an alternative format.

We want JigyasaVerse to remain imaginative without making imagination dependent on perfect vision, hearing, movement, attention, language or technology.

2. Our accessibility goal

We aim to progressively align JigyasaVerse with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

WCAG is organised around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

An honest note: JigyasaVerse is evolving and has not yet undergone a complete independent WCAG conformance audit.

This page describes our direction and current efforts. It is not a claim that every page already meets every WCAG success criterion.

3. What we are doing

As the website develops, we aim to:

  • Use meaningful headings, landmarks and semantic HTML.
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Make navigation and interactive controls usable with a keyboard.
  • Maintain visible keyboard focus indicators.
  • Use readable text sizes, spacing and colour contrast.
  • Allow pages to be zoomed and used on smaller screens.
  • Respect visitors who prefer reduced motion.
  • Avoid relying on colour alone to communicate meaning.
  • Label forms and provide understandable error messages.
  • Add captions, transcripts or descriptions when audio and video are introduced.
  • Use clear language where legal or technical complexity is unnecessary.

4. Using the website

You should be able to move through core content using a keyboard, browser zoom and common assistive technologies.

Most browsers also provide reading modes, text enlargement, colour adjustments and motion controls.

If animation or movement is uncomfortable, enable “Reduce motion” in your device settings. We aim to respect that preference wherever movement is not essential.

5. Known and possible limitations

JigyasaVerse uses immersive artwork, animated effects and experimental interactions. Some older pages, submitted material or third-party services may not yet provide the same level of accessibility as the main website.

Third-party websites—including book retailers and embedded services—are controlled by their respective providers. Their accessibility may differ from ours.

When we identify a barrier, we will consider its effect and work toward a reasonable correction or alternative.

6. Tell us where the door is stuck

Accessibility improves when people tell us what is not working.

If you cannot access part of JigyasaVerse, please contact us and include:

  • The page or feature you were trying to use.
  • What happened and what you expected to happen.
  • Your browser, device or assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing it.
  • The alternative format or assistance that would help.

We will respond as soon as reasonably possible and try to provide the information or experience in another usable form.

7. Accessibility contact

Use the JigyasaVerse contact page and write “Accessibility” in the subject or first line.

Feedback is welcome even if you are not sure which technical standard applies.
